Description

9/25/24 - This is a 7.5 inch Colt Single Action Army Revolver, manufactured in 1882 and chambered in .45 Colt. It comes with a Colt Factory Letter that states this gun was originally shipped to Hartley & Graham in New York, New York on August 25, 1882. The gun also comes with a notarized letter that states this gun was purchased by a Hiriam W. Martin of Boise, Idaho in 1925. Mr. Maritn apparently purchased this gun from a Native American of the Blackfeet Tribe in Browning, Montana. At the time this gun was purchased from Mr. Martin, it was fitted with real ivory grips and came with a handmade rawhide leather holster - which is exactly how we have it today. There are a few tiny chips in the ivory grips, and the right side is engraved "BS". The gun itself has lost virtually all of its original finish with light "attic patina" throughout. Some small dings and scratches here and there. There are three distinct notches on the top of the barrel. The bore has decent rifling, but there are some noticeable pits here and there. Fully functional. Smooth action.
