Description
9/30/24 - This is a US Property-marked Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless. The gun was made in 1944, but these pistols were developed early in 1903 as small frame hammerless pocket automatic pistol and proved to be a very successful and popular design for Colt. They were eventually adopted by the US military during WWII as both a small frame sidearm and as a general officers pistol. This one is matching and comes with a Colt Factory letter that states this gun was shipped to a United States Government Transportation Officer at the New York Port of Embarkation on December 19, 1944. The gun has retained nearly all of its parkerized finish with just a few light surface scuffs, most noticeable around the left side of the muzzle. Fitted with mint wood grips. Mint bore. This one has British proofs on the right side, indicating it ended up in England at some point.Specifications
