Description

10/1/24 - This is an excellent example of a Red 9 Mauser C96 issued to the Imperial German military during WW1. It is all matching and has the proper proofs. Unit marking on the front strap. We believe this one was reworked and issued to the Nazi police force, given its characteristics - the barrel has been shortened and the rear sight was milled. There is an "S. Ma. I. K. 4." unit marking on the front strap and what looks like an X'd out unit marking on the left side of the frame. "1920" government property marking on the slide. The gun has retained about 95% of its finish with minor high edge wear. Fitted with original matching-numbered "Red 9" grips. Excellent bore.
