CZ Model Z Vest Pocket Pistol

10/9/24 - This is a Czech CZ Model Z, manufactured in 1950 and chambered in 6.35mm. All matching numbers. This is the same pistol known as the popular DUO that started manufacturing these pistols in 1938 in Germany. When the Owner, Dusek, refused to cooperate with the Nazis, they took over the factory and continued making DUOs under Nazi control. After the war, production of the DUO continued until the Soviets nationalized the plant in 1948 and moved it to Ceska Zbrojovka. They renamed this model to the Model “Z” and continued its production until 1970. This one is dated 1950 making it a very early Model Z Cold War vest pocket pistol. Its original finish rates about 95%. While there isn't much actual finish loss, there are areas of noticeable oxidation - most obvious on both grip straps and on the left slide serrations. Some pits along the left side of the slide. Fitted with nice black bakelite grips and comes with one proper magazine. Mint bore.
