Description
10/16/24 - This is a very nice example of an AC 45 Walther P.38 made at the very end of WW2. This is a GI mismatched gun, put together by an American GI when the Walther factory was liberated. All of the parts are mismatched and in the proper "c and d" serial blocks, correct for this variation. The barrel is in the "d" block, a desirable trait for some collectors. It also only has one "Eagle 359" military acceptance proof on the right side of the slide, indicating it was never issued. The unique thing about this one is that the frame has no serial number, just one "Eagle 359" proof. The locking block is un-marked and un-numbered. Some phosphate small parts, correct for this variation. Its finish rates about 93%. General high edge wear with minor thinning on the front strap. Brown patina on the front strap with minor spotty oxidation here and there. Some pitting on the safety lever. Fitted with black plastic grips and comes with a "Waffen 706" jvd magazine. Excellent bore. De-cocker is not functional. The hold-open does not function properly with this magazine.Specifications
