Description
11/22/24 - This is a very nice example of a Springfield 1911 issued to the US military during WWI. It was later reworked, as evidenced by the "AA" arsenal rework marking on the frame. It was likely reworked for reuse during WW2. It has a WW2-era pakerized finish with very little finish loss. However, there is light pin-pricking under the finish throughout. Fitted with WW2 era grips. The bore has good rifling with just minor frosting in the grooves. It comes as a rig with two WWI-era two-tone magazines, one WW2 magazine, a reproduction magazine pouch, WW2-era canvas belt, 1918 dated leather holster (missing belt clip), period-correct canvas lanyard, an original box of ammo (one cartridge missing), and a reproduction owners manual. It all displays nicely in a custom glass/wood presentation case.Specifications
