Description

1/6/25 - From the collection of Jan Still, well-known author of collector resource books such as "Axis Pistols", "Third Reich Lugers", and more. Comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity from the Sill family. This is a very nice example of a Steyr Hahn Model 1912 issued to the Austria-Hungarian military during WW1, in 1918. The gun is all matching, is dated 1918, and has the proper Austrian military acceptance proof on the right side of the trigger guard. There is no "08" on the left side of the slide, indicating that it was not converted to 9mm and is therefore still chambered in 9mm Steyr. The gun shows almost no actual finish loss, but there is spotty oxidation throughout. Fitted with period-correct wood grips. The rifling in the bore is just a little worn with noticeable pitting throughout.
