Description
3/20/25 - This is a nice example of an "A" prefix FN Browning Model 1922 pistol, often referred to as a "post-liberation" example. The Germans left the FN factory on September 5, 1944, leaving many parts behind. These "A" prefix pistols were put together from leftover occupation parts and are in the A4000-A5201 serial range. The letter "A" was stamped on the pistols prior to stamping the a serial number. Retired FN employees have stated that the letter was used to indicate "Allemand" (German) to distinguish them from later production. This one is all matching and has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. The majority of the wear is around the muzzle and around the high edges. Noticeable spotty patina throughout. Fitted with correct wood grips and comes with one German military "Waffen 140" proofed magazine. Excellent bore with great rifling.Specifications
