Description

4/2/25 - This is a pre-WW1 commercial luger that was reworked by Simson and sent to police service. Manufactured around 1910-1912 with no stock-lug. It has an arsenal finish that rates about 97%. Was likely produced as a 7.65 commercial pistol as indicated by the Crown/N and 'BUG' proofs. At some point in the Weimar era, it was re-worked at Simson and given an Eagle/33 stamped barrel in 9mm. It also received a sear and magazine safety and was then stamped with the ‘1920’ property number. All matching, including the Haenel/Schmeisser magazine and grips. Has an un-numbered hold-open, likely installed during the rework. Minty bore.
