Description
4/10/25 - This is a very nice example of a Beretta Model 1934 issued to the Italian military in 1937. All matching with the proper "Crown RE" Italian military acceptance proof. It comes as a rig with one magazine and a period-correct tan leather holster. Its original high polish finish rates roughly 85% with spotty wear concentrated mostly around the muzzle and around some of the high edges. Light freckling on the grip straps. Excellent bore with strong rifling. This particular gun comes with the original copies of the WW2 capture document and "Certificate of Retention and Customs Declaration" form. Both list this exact gun by serial number and name the American GI who brought this rig home, Albert R. Wacker. Our consignor did extensive research on Mr. Wacker and was able to find some really interesting information. Albert was from Montgomery County, PA, attended Drexel University (studied Chemical Engineering), joined the US Army in 1943, and served during WW2 in the Infantry HQ CO 406th Infantry Regiment 102nd Division. He was wounded in 1945 and returned home after the war. As you will see in the photos, the consignor was able to find Albert's Enlistment record, Hospitalization record, Registration card, and a newspaper clipping with a photo of Albert. Also included is a 3 page excerpt from a magazine titled "With the 102d Infantry Division Through Germany". There is a photo of Albert with the rest of his company, and his name is listed on the third page.Specifications
