4/1/25 - For sale is a scarce Colt 1911 made in 1918. The post has the uncommon Black Army finish which is a darker matte blue. Correct Colt barrel - the top of the barrel is stamped with the H and P but they are not intertwined. Comes with a correct 2 tone magazine. The gun's original "black army" finish rates roughly 80-85% with honest wear and "flaking" in the finish along the slide and on the grip straps. Fitted with excellent period-correct wood grips. The bore has good rifling, but there is spotty surface oxidation throughout.
