Description
4/29/25 - This is an excellent example of an early Mauser HSC sold in the commercial market in 1941. All matching and "Eagle N" proofed. It comes with the original copy of the WW2 capture paperwork that lists this gun by serial number and names the American GI who captured it, John Asendorf. It also comes with a letter written by John's wife. In the letter, she explains how John came to capture this gun, some other things that John captured while in Germany, and some of the stories John told her about the gun. Our consignor was also able to find some additional info on John, including his Registration Card, Registrar's Report, a newspaper clipping about John, and a photo of his head stone. The gun itself has retained about 96% of its original high polish bluing with just minor muzzle wear. Fitted with period-correct wood grips and comes with one proper magazine - the base plate is a little dented. Mint bore.Specifications
