Description
4/23/25 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1901 DA .38 Revolver. It is all matching and was presented as a prize for a shooting competition in historic Mt. Gretna, PA in 1902. Engraved on the right side of the frame is "Highest average score, with Carbine, Mr. Gretna 1902, Presented by, Col. W. Fred. Reynolds.". It has lost nearly all of its original finish with honest wear throughout. Some of the original fire bluing visible on the hammer and trigger. The left grip panel is "RAC" marked. The grips are hand-numbered. They match each other but not the gun. Minty bore.Specifications
