Description
5/27/25 - This is a nice example of a Mauser Model 1914 sold in the commercial market during WWI. All matching and "Double Crown U" proofed. It was later re-issued to the German police, as evidenced by the "1920" government property marking and the "L. Ka. 5." police unit marking on the front strap. It has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. There is general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and some finish loss with spotty oxidation on the front strap. Very nice original fire bluing on the trigger. Fitted with a period-correct wood grip - it has had a thin layer of lacquer applied. It comes with a proper magazine with a "5. 2." police number on the bottom. The bore has good rifling with pin-pricking throughout.Specifications
