5/1/25 - This is a very nice example of a 1944 Dual Tone P.38 with a blued barrel and a phosphate finish on the slide and frame. All matching with the proper "Waffen 135" military acceptance proofs. These finishes are a bit tough to rate, but we estimate this one has retained about 97%. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is spotty oxidation on the left side of the slide - typical for the phosphate finishes. Fitted with reddish bakelite grips. Comes with an un-proofed jvd magazine. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
