5/8/25 - This is a nice example of a rare Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is a first-year Mauser production, where only 19,000 of these were made, making it only slightly more common than the zero series or Nazi-marked svw 45's. This one is matching and has the proper "Eagle 135" military proofs. It has retained about 90% of its dusty blue finish. The majority of the wear is on the front strap, where there is also some spotty patina. Fitted with brownish bakelite grips and comes with an "Eagle 88" marked Spreewerk magazine. Very nice bore - it is mostly shiny with great rifling, but there are some areas of light surface freckling. De-cocker is functional.
