Gorgeous 1906 DWM American Eagle Luger Rig

5/28/25 - This is a gorgeous, all original 1906 DWM American Eagle Luger. The pistol is all matching with about 98% polished blue remaining, showing minor hints of edge wear and some patina at the back of the frame. Small parts retain about 90% original straw. Grips show minor handling wear but no major flaws and have sharp checkering. They are unmarked, as is the excellent magazine. The bore is shiny with strong rifling but was not cleaned properly so there is some minor freckling in it. The left side of the frame has wear below and above the safety level which is shown in the last photo. These pistols went to the US retail market and the manufacturers at DWM realized that nation-based crests increased sales of these lugers, so that is why you find the American Eagle over the chamber. This is also why you see GERMANY marked on the frame, denoting these were exported for commercial sale. It also comes with a pigskin leather shoulder holster.
