Description
7/11/25 - This is an excellent example of an interesting rifle. It is a K98 that was originally manufactured by Waffenwerke Brunn and issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It was then reworked by an Israeli arsenal in the 1970's - the gun was given an excellent phosphate finish, and re-chambered to 7.62 NATO, and given a new serial number. The chamber has Israeli acceptance proofs, and some of the small parts still have Nazi military acceptance proofs. The original arsenal sticker is intact on the left side of the butt stock and dated 1976. Overall, the gun is excellent. It has retained nearly all of its finish with some light handling marks here and there. The stock is in good shape but has minor dings, dents, and scratches throughout. "7.62" was etched into the bottom edge of the butt stock. No import marks. The bore is shiny with strong rifling. Smooth action and fully functional.
