Description
07/16/26 - For sale is a Mauser Model 1871/84 made by Amberg in 1887. The barrel retains a nice blued finish, while the receiver has a brownish patina/tarnish from age. The barrel is stamped with a Crown L for King Ludwig II of Bavaria. The stock looks to be an Armourer's replacement and is not marked other than an R on the wrist. The buttplate is Unit Marked B.1.R. 10.69. The bore is bright with strong rifling, but some spots of surface corrosion are visible. The rifle has matching numbers throughout its parts except for the stock. The magazine disconnect does not function properly as the part of the lever that engages the follower had sheared off. Currently stuck in single shot/magazine off. The rifle can still fire, but removing the bolt or switching the magazine requires disassembly.
