Description
10/12/26 - This is an as-new-in-box Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 40 Centennial revolver, manufactured in 1955 and chambered in .38 Special. It is all matching. It comes in a period-correct box (no label) with its original paper packaging, along with a tan leather holster and a factory letter. According to the letter, it was shipped on March 15, 1955 to Zork Hardware Company in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a blued finish and a 2" barrel. The gun is in unused condition and has retained about 99% of its original bluing, with just a light roll mark on the cylinder. It wears mint smooth walnut grips with a grip extension on the front strap. A well-documented example of the early, hammerless Centennial that displays beautifully. Mint bore.
