From the Nighthawk website: "The Nighthawk Custom Colt Series 70 took the timeless design of the Colt 1911 and elevated it with a range of functional and aesthetic upgrades that enhanced both performance and beauty. Starting with the heart of the firearm, we replaced the original trigger system with a match-grade, solid short trigger, along with a fully machined disconnector, sear, hammer strut, and pin for a smoother, more reliable pull. The rear sight was upgraded to a fully machined retro sight, while the front sight featured a 14k gold bead, offering an ideal balance of form and function. The Colt Series 70 was also outfitted with several custom enhancements that not only improved ergonomics but added to its visual appeal. The retro hammer, Nighthawk Custom beavertail grip safety, and match-grade barrel bushing provided a level of refinement that's hard to beat. A combination of an ultra hi-cut trigger guard, matching vertical serrations on the front strap and mainspring housing, and a French border on the slide elevated the pistol's aesthetic, while the engraved Nighthawk Custom logo on the dust cover added a signature touch. On the performance side, we completed a thorough action tune, including a precisely machined and polished feed ramp, barrel throat, and chamber, as well as a tuned extractor and ejector for smoother function. To round out the build, we upgraded the recoil spring and firing pin spring for enhanced reliability. With the final touch of a custom Smoked Nitride finish, the Nighthawk Custom Colt Series 70 was not just a firearm—it was a functional work of art, built for the discerning shooter who demands both beauty and performance."
