5/1/25 - This is a mint, custom Turnbull restoration of the 100th Anniversary Model Colt 1911. The gun itself was manufactured in 2011, and the Turnbull restoration was performed in 2015. Dissatisfied that the factory new anniversary model had commemorative slide markings which varied significantly from the 1918 model, our consignor employed Turnbull to comprehensively recreate the original WWI 1911 with fully period-correct markings. This example exudes the unparalleled attention to detail and uncompromising craftsmanship that Turnbull is renowned for. The gun is marked with the Turnbull stamp on the left side of the frame next to the trigger. It comes with its matching-numbered outer white box, blue Colt box, inner craft-style box, wax paper packaging, three magazines, and owners manual. There is also a copy of the Turnbull invoice, with an itemized list of the custom work performed. It has a beautiful military-style blued finish with no signs of wear or use. Factory-new bore. Fitted with checkered wood grips.
