Description
9/6/19 - The Colt Bisley model was introduced in 1894 as a target pistol. The name came from the famous firing range in English, and this model can be distinguished by the longer grip, wider hammer spur and wider trigger. There were only ~44,000 produced, and that production was terminated in 1912. This example was manufactured in 1899 and has been restored by Turnbull to the original condition. It has just a hint of edge wear on the cylinder and muzzle, but is otherwise exceptional. 5.5 inch barrel and chambered for .41 Colt. Beautiful case hardening on the frame and hammer, and fire blue on the trigger. This revolver comes with several of the receipts from Turnbull, proving the work was done by renowned company. Smooth timing and action. Bore is shiny with good rifling but does have some frost and a couple areas of freckling. This one requires a license as it's not an antique.Specifications
