Description
11/2/26 - This is an antique Colt New Line .22 revolver, made around 1876. Colt introduced the New Line in 1873 as a compact, spur-trigger pocket revolver, and the seven-shot .22 rimfire model was produced until 1877. This is the second model, identified by its long cylinder flutes, with the etched panel on the left side of the barrel reading "COLT NEW 22" and the two-line Colt Hartford address on top of the barrel. It appears to retain its original factory nickel finish and is decorated with period scroll, ribbon and punch-dot engraving on the frame, barrel and cylinder. Fitted with beautiful mother-of-pearl grips. The nickel finish rates about 90%, with the majority of the flaking and light oxidation along the barrel. Fully functional. Excellent shiny bore with strong rifling, 9/10.
