5/31/22 - This is a fairly uncommon Remington, 44-40 with 5 1/2 inch barrel. This model dates to 1875. Serial is under the grip - #746. Comes with a nickel finish that shows age. Perhaps rates at about 90% nickel remaining. It has tight action- 4 clicks. Cylinder locks up properly. The bore has strong rifling and rates about 7 out of 10. The grips are excellent with just some indentations in the bottom right panel. The grips are also numbered to the gun.
