Description
6/15/26 - This is a nice example of an arsenal-reworked Remington Rand Model 1911A1, originally issued to the US military in 1943. There are "RIA" and "ANAD" arsenal markings on the right side of the frame. It has a correct "HS" High Standard barrel. It comes with a modern Mecgar magazine and is fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips with a painted red "1" rack number on the right side. It also comes with a period-correct arsenal shipping. The label is marked Remington but has a mismatched serial number, so it is not the original box for this gun. The gun itself has an arsenal reapplied finish that rates roughly 80%. There is general thinning throughout, high edge wear, muzzle wear, a few small marks and scratches here and there, and some light spotty discoloration toward the front of the top of the slide. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
