Description
8/27/26 - This is a nice example of a scarce, early Spanish Astra Model 600 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Waffen D20" Nazi military acceptance proof on the right side of the frame. The gun was part of the first contract delivered to the Nazi military on May 16, 1944, along with 2,950 other guns. It comes as a rig with two magazines and a period-correct un-marked holster that has been dyed black. One of the magazines is numbered but not matching to the gun. The other shows obvious signs of grinding / wire-wheeling. The gun has retained about 92% of its original bluing. The majority of the actual finish loss is in a couple of areas on both sides of the frame where there is noticeable scratching, almost light grinding in the finish. Some pits in that area on the right side. There are similar scratching/grinding patterns on some of the small parts. There is also some high edge wear and light freckling on the grip straps. Fitted with excellent period-correct wood grips. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
