Description
10/3/25 - This is an excellent example of an Austrian OWA Vest Pocket pistol, manufactured in 1922 and chambered in 6.35mm. This is an Austrian OWA Vest Pocket Pistol chambered in 6.35 mm (.25 ACP). These compact semi-automatic pistols were manufactured by Österreichische Werke Anstalt (OWA) in Steyr, Austria, primarily during the early 1920s. Based loosely on the Browning 1906 design, they feature a simple blowback mechanism, fixed sights, and a 6-round single-stack magazine. Production numbers were relatively limited compared to contemporary European pocket pistols, making them a desirable example of early post-WWI Austrian firearms. Known for their high level of machining and distinctive grip panels bearing the “OWA” logo, these pistols were marketed for civilian self-defense and export. Their small size, quality manufacture, and historical context make them an interesting and affordable collectible today. It is matching, and the finish rates about 97%. Just very minor high edge and muzzle wear. Comes with one magazine. The bore has good rifling with just very light pin-pricking.
