SOLD - Beautiful 1939 Mauser Luger

2/9/22 - This is a beautiful Nazi Mauser Luger from 1939, one of only ~38,000 produced with S/42 code on toggle rather than the more common '42' code. All matching numbers throughout, including the right grip panel (left is unmarked). The original blue rates at 97-98% with a little high edge wear on sideplate and muzzle, and a spot of bluing loss on the bottom of the front grip strap. Otherwise, just an excellent example. All internal parts are numbered and matching. Left grip panel was likely a wartime replacement and has a small chip under the safety. Magazine is marked with '122' code and E/37 proof. The base is unnumbered with just an 'o' suffix, same as the gun, but appears likely the previous serial number on the magazine base was ground off for whatever reason. Bore has strong rifling but unfortunately some freckling throughout, looks like it wasn't cleaned after use many years ago.
