2/5/26 - This is a beautiful example of an early Colt Government Model 1911 from 1914. The consignor of this gun had a Colt factory letter that has since been lost. He told us that the letter stated it was shipped to Remington UMC Co. on March 12, 1914. It comes with a beautiful wood presentation case (with a pearl plate on the lid), an original owners manual, cleaning rod, and a full box of vintage ammo. The gun itself has retained about 98% of its original high polish Colt bluing. There is just very minor muzzle wear and a few light surface scratches here and there. Fitted with mint wood grips and comes with a two-tone lanyard loop magazine. Mint bore.
