SOLD - Beautiful, Early Underwood M1 Carbine

12/22/17 - This is an excellent condition, early Underwood carbine.  Only about 9% of the WW2 carbines made were Underwood - a typewriter and office equipment maker.  This Carbine has early features and is dated December of 1942!. Serial number is 1,355,xxx.  Stock is high wood with I cut for the strap. Stock is also P marked and GHD inspector proofed.  Excellent stock with no sign of sanding or restoration. Original condition with no significant dings or scratches.  Under the strap is the flaming bomb and RMC for the Rockola subcontracted stocks (also desirable).  It has the original flip site - S marked.  Small barrel band with NO bayo lug.  No sign of one ever installed.  Original finish on receiver and barrel is mint, and the bore is excellent. The magazine is also Underwood (U) marked.    A great collector piece - they do not come much better than this one.
