3/18/26 - This is a beautifully-engraved DWM Luger that was originally issued to the Imperial German army in 1917. This Luger was professionally restored and engraved by the master engraver, Ben Shostle, famous for making these pieces of art. The gun features a floral engraving pattern throughout that is extremely deep and crisp - visually impressive in person. It is technically all matching-numbered, but it appears Ben may have re-applied some of the numbers. Ben's "SHOSTLE" signature is on the right side of the frame. The finish shows no signs of wear. Fitted with replacement wood grips - tiny chip in the upper corner on the left side. Comes with an un-numbered magazine. The condition of the bore is poor - the rifling is almost entirely worn with minor pitting throughout.
