Description
12/10/25 - The Belgian Nagant Model 1878/86 is an improved military variant of the earlier 1878 officer’s revolver, chambered in 9.4mm Belgian Nagant and produced in the late 1880s by the Nagant brothers of Liège. The 1886 updates strengthened the frame, lockwork, and trigger guard, creating a more durable service revolver that pre-dates the later Russian M1895. This one appears to have an old re-blued finish and has no visible markings. There are areas of discoloration here and there and some areas of pitting, most noticeable on the hammer and around the trigger. Nice checkered wood grips. The bore shows decent rifling, but there is noticeable spotty surface oxidation throughout.
