8/5/26 - The Beretta Model 1934-C with a threaded barrel is apart of a prominent wave of commercial Italian law enforcement surplus pistols imported into the United States by distributors. The threaded barrel on these specific surplus pistols is not a factory-original tactical feature, nor was it intended for suppressors. Instead, it is was modified to comply with United States import laws. This one has a slide dated 1948. The frame appears to be a more recent manufacture, has an added serial number, has an import mark, and has a "Switzerland" marking on the underside of the frame. As is the case with this one, collectors and shooters often report that the exposed threads (1/2x20 thread pitch) are rough, structurally compromised, or show tooling marks and set-screw damage. Because of this modification, guns retaining the original threaded barrel lose their C&R status. The threads on this one are damaged on the right side. The gun has retained about 94% of its finish. Nearly all of the wear is on the slide, where there is general high edge wear and noticeable scratching. Fitted with black plastic grips and comes with one magazine. Nice bore with good rifling. As is the case with other examples, this one is missing its lanyard loop.
