Description
12/3/21 - This is a WW!-era Belgian Bergmann Model 1910. The slide reads "Anciens Etabeissements Pieper Herstal-Liege Bergmann's Patent". The gun does not have Danish military proof marks. It has wood grips that do not appear to be numbered. Here is a brief history of the gun - The Danish military initially ordered about 5,000 of these pistols in 1910. These will have Danish military proofs. Then in WW1, when the Germans occupied Belgium, another 1,000 guns were produced. These guns should be in the serial range of around 15000-16000. They should have no proof marks. That's when this gun was produced. This particular pistol has retained around 85% of its bluing. Most of the wear is on the high edges, and there are small dings and scratches throughout. There is a marking on the front strap that reads "pr IV. A. K.". We are not sure what it means. Could be a unit marking. The gun is fully functional. The bore has very strong rifling, but some mild frosting. It comes with an original magazine that is not numbered. C&R eligible.Specifications
