Description

7/28/26 - This is a nice example of a WWI-era Type 2 Luger snail drum magazine that was manufactured by Bing. This drum magazine bears the serial number "333626" on the front and back of the drum. The magazine holds 32 rounds and were often used with artillery Lugers to turn a pistol into a short carbine. Both the front and back of the magazine bear the "B/N" maker's mark. The original finish on this magazine is in good shape, but does show signs of finish loss, primarily as high-edge wear, as well as wear on the top of the magazine where it inserts into the firearm. There is a small dent on the bottom of the drum, though it does not seem to affect the functionality of the magazine. The follower spring is functional and the drum winds fully. Overall in good mechanical condition. The dust cover fits snug on the top of the magazine and functions as intended. There are some light surface blemishes on the dust cover, though these do not affect the functionality.
