Description

7/31/26 - This is a very nice example of a later-production Walther PP sold in the commercial market in 1943. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle N" proofs. It has a lightweight duraluminum or "dural" alloy frame, a rare design feature that was produce by Dürener Metallwerke from 1909. Early dural frames are anodized in dark-blue tone, later they were painted with a black lacquer. This one also comes fitted with a scarce and desirable gray-colored grip that pairs very nicely with a gray-colored magazine bottom. The gun comes with a period-correct box, owners manual, cleaning rod (with its original paper wrapping), one spare magazine, and a cleaning tin (with oiler bottle and rag). The box is technically matching-numbered, but it has been force-matched. The gun has retained about 93% of its original finish with hints of high edge wear, some very light freckling on the left side of the slide, and some minor thinning on the right side of the slide. Some spotty discoloration on the plum trigger. Mint bore.
