Description
4/21/26 - This is an excellent example of a Smith & Wesson Model 10-5, manufactured around 1964-1965 and chambered in .38 Special. 4" barrel. It comes with a S&W box that is not numbered. The gun itself has retained nearly all of its original high polish finish with only very slight wear around the muzzle and on the frame hinge. Excellent case-hardening on the hammer and trigger. Fitted with excellent wood grips. Bore is bright with strong rifling. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth. This gun comes with documentation from the S&W Historical Foundation indicating this gun was sent from S&W to Camfour Inc. in Massachusetts in 1965. Specifically, it was delivered to the company guardhouse for a "Lloyd Steele".
