Description
3/25/26 - After the Portuguese Lugers were made, the Bulgarians contracted with Nazi Army to provide 5000-5600 Lugers from March through November, 1943. The guns were made from SN 5322m – 2197n (per Third Reich Lugers, p.16) of which this gun falls within that range and has E/135 Acceptance Stamps and the E/N Proof Stamp. It is still a mystery as to where these guns are as they have seemed to have vaporized with only a handful remaining making this an extremely rare luger. This one is all numbers-matching numbers and has retained roughly 80-85% of its original finish with noticeable finish loss along the barrel, general high edge wear, and muzzle wear. The unnumbered walnut grip panels have nice checkering without any flat spots. Very nice bore with strong rifling and some very light frosting in the grooves. The blued magazine is fxo E/37 stamped with a black plastic bottom in excellent condition.
