Description
06/16/26 - This is a consecutive serialized pair of Colt Fourth Model Derringers chambered in .22 Short and housed in their Colt presentation case featuring a vibrant red velvet-fitted interior and a personalized "E.G.B." brass lid plaque. Produced between 1970-1973 as part of the 25,000 unit Second Series production run, the Fourth Model serves as a modern homage to Colt's classic 19th century Thuer pocket designs, utilizing lightweight Zamak alloy frames combined with blued steel barrels. The tops of the pivoting barrels are marked with the Colt logo, while the left sides display the caliber designation and factory rollmarks. These single shot pistols are a matching sequential set with the consecutive serial numbers 35279D and 35280D stamped on the left sides of the frames. The firearms are in excellent condition, retaining approximately 95-97% of their original finishes, with only faint wear at the muzzles, very minor thinning along the top straps, and a small patch of micro scratching on the bottoms of the barrels. Some scattered tarnish and cloudiness on the frames, which is extremely common for this specific gold-toned factory wash over the alloy frames. They are fitted with minty sets of smooth wood bird's head grips showing no cracks or chips. Mechanics are excellent, and the bores are mint.
