Description
3/6/26 - This is a really nice example of an early large ring hammer Mauser C96, manufactured in 1903 and chambered in 7.63mm Mauser. The gun has been professionally restored and has a beautiful post-factory engraving. This floral filigree engraving work is detailed and professional and covers most of the gun. The bluing has been restored and is very nice overall - the most noticeable wear is on the grip straps. Fitted with matching-numbered checkered wood grips. The rifling in the bore is just a bit worn with minor pitting throughout. The gun comes in a large presentation case that is marked "Waffenfabrik Mauser" on the inside (one of the hinges has come off). There is a blank brass name plate on the lid. It also comes with its matching-numbered stock, a rare and early Putzstock cleaning rod, and several empty leather ammo pouches.
