05/14/2024 - For sale is a nice Type 38 Arisaka Carbine made at the Kokura Arsenal between the two World Wars. These carbines are shortened variants of the Type 38 Infantry Rifle and were meant for auxiliary troops. This example has a full untouched Imperial Mum on the receiver and has "3 8 Type" below it. The bluing is excellent for surviving the pacific theater and retains a 95% overall condition. The stock is in great shape and no damage to note. The bore is clean and bright but is fully frosted throughout. This carbine is has a mismatched extractor but the bolt, receiver, and safety match watch other. The bayonet lug and firing pin are unmarked. The Type 30 bayonet is an earlier variant with the hooked quillon and is made by Kokur Arsenal.Specifications
