Description
4/11/25 - For sale is a Winchester P14 made as aid to the British military during WW1. The rifle is in great shape overall with a nice aged bluing on the metal. The rifle seems to have avoided going through the Weedon Arsenal rebuild and still retains its volley sights. (Not marked for Weeden repair). The stock has plenty of dings and nicks but in great shape. The brass disk is present and next to it is "IW" in a circle for Mk1 and Winchester but the stamp is faint from being lightly sanded. The handguard has a 4" crack on top. The bore is fairly bright but the grooves are darkening and some micro pitting is visible with a light. There is a sign of the receiver being ground where the serial number is sometime in the past, perhaps by an arsenal. The side of the receiver ring is flattened, and the serial number is stamped. The bolt has the matching serial number on top over grind marks, but the bottom of the bolt also has another serial number. The volley sights are functional. The serial number on the rear sight ladder has been ground away.Specifications
