Description

7/27/22 - This is an original Colt Detective Special revolver with documentation showing it was issued direct from Colt to U.S. Secret Service Agent Joseph Kovalchick in 1967. The revolver was produced in ~1956 and original Colt archive records show it shipped to a private buyer, but somehow ended up back with Colt's firearms division and sold/transferred to active Secret Service agent. The gun is all original with maybe 85% blue remaining, as it was likely carried often and in a holster. Minty bore. Grips show minor smoothing. A grip extension is included, as is a mismatched Colt box.
