Description
10/2/26 - This is a Colt/Ithaca Model 1911A1 arsenal rework, likely reworked for re-issue during WW2. It is built on a WWI Colt frame manufactured in 1918, fitted with a WW2 Ithaca slide and a WW2-era "HS" marked High Standard barrel that has had its finish removed and has been buffed. The gun wears an arsenal-reapplied parkerized finish with just some minor thinning on the front strap and some areas of light pitting on the left side of the frame. Fitted with WW2-era reddish plastic grips - area of wear on the left side. Comes with a more modern replacement magazine. Mint bore. A solid 1911 that carries both WWI and WWII history.
