Description
2/26/26 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1851 Navy revolver, manufactured in 1861 and chambered in .36 Caliber. It is all matching with a naval engagement scene on the cylinder. This particular gun has been at least partially restored, we believe mostly on the barrel and cylinder. The cylinder appears to be blued-over, but the cylinder scene still retains roughly 65% visibility. There is a name "L. Hart" on the back strap. The majority of the wear is on the grip straps, and there is a series of noticeable dings on the butt of the frame and grips. The bore has great rifling for its age, but there are spots of surface oxidation here and there. Fully functional. No FFL required.
