Description
3/4/26 - This is a Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver, chambered in .44 Caliber. It is all matching and fully functional. According to the included Colt Factory Letter, it was shipped to a United States Government Commanding Officer in Detroit, Michigan on October 24, 1863 in a shipment of 1,000 guns. This one is in fair condition overall for its age. There is virtually no finish left with honest and spotty "attic patina" throughout. There are a couple of areas of minor pitting here and there and a series of small dings along both sides of the barrel. Fitted with wood grips that show military cartouches on both sides - there is noticeable bruising on the bottom edges of both panels and a tiny chip in bottom corner of the right side. The bore is in pretty good shape for its age - good rifling with some minor spotty surface oxidation throughout. No FFL required.
