Description

1/18/23 - This is a matching and original Colt Model 1917 from the end of the Great War. This one is unit marked on the bottom of the left grip panel. It reads "C 1 47 F A", which we believe is most likely for C Battery, 147th Field Artillery, from South Dakota, serving in France during WW1. However we can't be sure the exact meaning. The original blue rates at around 50-60% with thinning all over, but most pronounced on the grip frame. The bore has strong rifling with minor frost in the grooves. The grips have handling wear but no cracks. Good timing and lockup.
