Description
10/15/25 - This is a Colt New Service revolver from 1914 still chambered for the British .455 Eley cartridge. These revolvers were acquired by the British War Department during World War I, and they were popular with British officers. This one is all matching and has the proper British proofs throughout. It has retained about 92% of its high polish finish. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there is thinning and brown patina on the grip straps, general high edge wear, tiny handling marks throughout, and some areas of spotty oxidation here and there - most noticeable around the right side of the muzzle. Fitted with period-correct hard rubber grips - a couple of tiny chips on the bottom edge of the right panel. Mint bore.
