Description
7/9/25 - This a nice example of a Model 1911A1 pistol put together from parts. It has a 1918 Colt Model 1911 frame, a WWI-era HP Colt barrel, a scarce WW2-era Union Switch & Signal slide, and a WW2 configuration 1911A1 main spring housing. Fitted with WW2-era reddish plastic grips and comes with a WW2 L-marked magazine. We can't say for sure, but this was likely reworked for use during WW2. The gun's finish rates roughly 80% with spotty finish loss and spotty patina throughout. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is frosting throughout.
